In 2020, in the small town of Lake Park, GA, a dream years in the making finally took shape. Uncle Carlo’s Italian Ristorante was born from the vision of a father and son, Carlo and Dominic Sacco, who poured their hearts into every detail. From sketching the first designs to laying the final piece of wood flooring, they built the restaurant with their own hands. Each recipe, each element of the space, was chosen with care — a reflection of their family, their heritage, and their love for bringing people together around the table. What began as a dream became a place where community and tradition come alive in every meal.

Carlo F. Sacco
Carlo Sacco, age 70, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at his home. He was the cherished son of the late Domenico and Filomena (Vasta) Sacco, and the loving father to Angela Alverson (David) and Dominic Sacco (Laura). Proud Nonno to Tyler, the late Cali and Elijah Alverson, and Dominic and Bianca Sacco. Born on July 7, 1954, in Calabria, Italy, Carlo emigrated to the United States at the age of 12 with his family.
A man of great perseverance, Carlo began his career in his early twenties, founding a cement business that would lay the groundwork for his future successes. His lifelong dream of owning a restaurant came to fruition in 2020 with the opening of "Uncle Carlo's" in Lake Park, Georgia, a venture he proudly ran with the support of his son. Carlo’s dedication to his family and his work was unwavering, but his heart was perhaps most known for its generosity. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, often going above and beyond for others, and was known to give selflessly to anyone in need.
Carlo's legacy of love, hard work, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
